At Barnehurst, we feel it is important that children have an equal say in the the development of their education and their school.
Each year, children nominate themselves to become a Pupil Governor. We then hold an election campaign and candidates have the opportunity to put forward their manifesto to the rest of the school. We then have a Pupil Governor election to select the Governors for the year.
Meetings take place before the Full Governing Body Meetings and all Governors are invited to attend and hear the children's thoughts and opinions about the school. Pupil Governors are encouraged to attend the meetings with solutions to issues they have identified to help make Barnehurst an even better place for the children.
We are very proud of our Pupil Governors and all they achieve for the children at Barnehurst!
