At Barnehurst we are committed to supporting Children’s Mental Health and we offer a graduated approach to our Wellbeing Support

 

Universal Strategies:

Welcoming and safe environment, encouraging communication, positive relationships with all adults, assemblies, mindfulness strategies, well-being library,

well-being ambassadors, well- being days, positive role models,

designated mental health lead, well-being displays

  • Visual timetable/now next board
  • Class responsibility
  • Fiddle box resources
  • Contact or worry book
  • Time out card
  • Buddy system in class
  • Social stories
  • Daily or weekly check-in with adult – or as needed
  • Access to quiet playground at lunchtime

  • Chill Out Club at lunchtime (via Wellbeing)
